GateKeeper Admin App

GateKeeper should be very easy to use but here are a few tips for first-time users to help get you started smoothly… Best viewed on a desktop computer.

0:45 - Be careful setting the public message to something suitable for residents to see. The Admin status is private and only seen by other admins using the admin app so ideal to share your status with other admins.
1:55 - Messaging and Directory can be accessed using the buttons with Black text on the Actions page.
2:05 - Scan QR might be used for features in the future or at specific locations as required.
2:45 - Messages displayed are only those sent to the admin logged into the app.
3:35 - There’s only one flag in the video, we updated the video after recording the audio, sorry! All flags for the user would be displayed and the admin can add an additional comment of their own too.
5:10 - We will have a system to allow for rare instances when there might be two people of the same name who visit the same home. We will probably try and catch these instances and encourage the addition of an email address to define each visitor however you may prefer to include a middle initial or just add spaces at the end of the name to make each unique and then use the profile images to confirm which is which in each case. Probably the simple option of adding a middle initial or nickname is the best if these instances ever arise.
6:00 - There are two ways images get into the system. Admins can take them when people visit or residents can add them to their guest or family lists to do this for you. Either way if you do wish to make these profiles complete with an image it’s a good idea to take a live photo of the person and/or their ID and process them quickly. You can review profiles and update images with secondary images at less busy periods and use your Timeline in the info section as a guide to remind you of recent visitors to review and update.
6:55 - Any notes you make will be included in the Timeline event and available to you and the home they are visiting so ensure they are appropriate.
7:20 - You can use devices like bluetooth headsets to help process calls effectively if you wish to use built in Skype. It might also be a good idea if all iPads we supplied to guards with a case that easily allows easy holding with one hand too or possible mount the device for easy and effective access and data entry depending on your specific location.
9:15 - Any saved company/visitor has a green Status shown as existing and live on the service. You activate Links and Verify ID to get a 3/3 ‘score’ and confirm that there is a confirmed ID and link to the home. Checked is simply an additional button to confirm you have double checked their validity before you allow or deny entry.
12:55 - Avoid editing resident profile info to encourage users to actively use the service and be responsible for their own data. Any changes you make are recorded so there’s a record of it happening to avoid any security breaches.
